Students who have achieved a minimum attendance rate of 75%, completed the BCT assessment and fulfilled other course requirements will receive a certificate from SCCIOB. Students will also receive an international BCT certificate from HanBan indicating the respective scores for their Listening, Writing and Reading proficiency. Therefore, upon successful completion of this course, learners can also receive a certificate of achievement from Quality Licence Scheme and a Learner Unit Summary, which lists the details of all the units the learner has completed as part of the course. The content in this course is based on the first level in the Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Kǎoshì , usually referred to as HSK, which assesses the ability of a non-native speaker to use Chinese in their daily, academic and professional life.
Multiple translations of the same original text will be analysed to enhance students’ awareness of the importance of techniques and cultural elements. Students will be assessed through the various components relevant to each level. Students will be assessed on their listening, speaking, writing, vocabulary, grammar and reading. The program is offered to both local and international students who wish to study business Mandarin.
They are English speakers, or are using English as their principal second language, and interested in having a career or doing business among Chinese speaking communities. This is a introductory course for students who are interested in learning business Mandarin to communicate in a business environment in China, we will teach student's business culture, formal and informal language, how to do business in China in this class. This unit equips students with the essential skill of business communication including writing of letter, reports, minutes, memorandums and electronic mails.
This unit provides an understanding of economics within the country, covering topics like supply and demand, indifference curve analysis, market structure, pricing and supply issues, etc. University or College degree/diploma or a minimum of 1 year of relevant business experience in a client service role, driven to help meet clients’ needs.
