Students work in a team of two or three to identify potential opportunities, conduct research, and recommend effective solutions. Students complete a comprehensive written report and make an oral presentation to the industry client outlining their recommendations and solutions. A distinguishing feature of the Business Management program is the wide variety of job placements available to graduates. Some pursue IT management, while others have gone on to careers in insurance, finance, HR, banking, operations, sales, and virtually every aspect of business. In June last year, our DBM students had the opportunity to attend a workshop organised by professional networking giant, LinkedIn. During the session, they learnt more about the Linkedin Economic Graph as well as the Social Recruitment Ecosystem. Students also gained practical experience through hands-on practicein building their personal and corporate branding. They also got to apply what they had learnt in class about digital recruitment and talent metrics analysis through a case study. Learners will understand the macro and micro aspects of international business, from the analysis of a country's environment, to industry analysis, timing of entry and mode of entry. In this module, learners will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to transform raw data into useful information and apply the insights obtained to make informed business decisions. Specifically, the learners will be taught descriptive statistics, regression and correlation analysis, discrete and continuous probability distributions, statistical estimation and hypothesis testing.
